The Beginning of Elevate IT Solutions

Most recently serving as the Vice President IS and Chief Information Security Officer of Tenet Healthcare Corporation, I have a keen understanding of the challenges companies are facing in both IT and Cybersecurity.  I decided to leave my post after 18 years to use my expertise to solve others' complex IT and Information Security issues and gaps, from compliance projects to major technology overhauls, I founded Elevate IT Solutions to offer solutions across industries, company sizes, and project intricacies.  

My Background and Experience

I have more than 25 years of healthcare experience, 20 years of experience in information management services and over 15 years of specialization in cybersecurity management.  I joined Tenet in August of 2003 and was responsible for the strategy and operations of Tenet’s information security program, including Identity and Access Management, Network and Infrastructure Security, Governance and IT Compliance, Awareness and Communication, and Incident Response. Before joining Tenet, I worked on the Tenet account at Perot Systems where I helped manage the design and implementation of several of Tenet’s first business process management and identity and access management systems.

Prior to joining Perot Systems, I worked for seven years in the payor services sector, as an account leader on several types of contracts and pre-tax benefit plans, such as stop loss insurance, COBRA administration, section 125 cafeteria plans, and ERISA plans. 

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems and have current certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and HealthCare Information Security and Privacy Practitioner (HCISPP).  I have also been consistently active in the National Healthcare Information Sharing and Analysis Center (NH-ISAC), the Healthcare and Public Health Sector Coordinating Committee (HC&PH SCC), HPG Medical Device Working Group, and other national information security activities and advisory councils.

It is my goal to offer the highest standard in IT and Cybersecurity consulting solutions through the application of indispensable knowledge and experience to companies of all sizes.
